    Lasagna

I recently made myself lasagne, made with fresh vegetables in the supermarket, served in a package, and there was a recipe with it, about how to prepare it.

    Ingredients:
2 tablespoons of olive oil (or 3 -4 spoons enough for starting)
    300 grams of minced beef
    300 milliliters of semi-skimmed milk
150 grams of grated cheese (e.g. emmental , mozzarella) (or 200g if you like more cheese)
6 small tomatoes (approx.1kg) , you can also use roma tomatoes (they are long instead of round)
    1 large onion
    1 carrot
    2 cloves of garlic
1 steel of leek (half a steel is ok for that)
    1 red bell pepper
A handful of fresh herbs : thyme, rozemary, oregano, basil
9 lasagne sheets (10cm x 8cm in size), this pasta can be bought in the supermarket and they are hard
3-4 tablespoons of lasagne sauce , this can be tomato paste , but a better option is red pesto for that. Red pesto can be bought in small jars , and is based on dried tomatoes.

    Clean the vegetables.
Cut the onion, carrot , leek , tomatoes and bell pepper into small pieces.
Also chop finely the fresh herbs .

Take a large pan (or pot ) and heat the olive oil , and add the onion and the minced beef.
Bake it on a high temperature for 3-5 minutes .
Then add the carrot, leek , garlic, bell pepper and herbs, and bake them during 5 minutes.
Then add the tomatoes, the milk , and the lasagne sauce , and let this simmer during 5-10 minutes on a lower temperature, so that the tomatoes are not solid anymore.
    Then the sauce is ready.

Choose an oven dish (casserole) that is big enough , that you can put 3 lasagne sheets on 1 layer.
Preheat the oven, so that it has a temperature of 200 degrees celcius.
Now divide the sauce that you have prepared into 4 equal parts.

Put part 1 of the sauce at the bottom of the casserole. (bottom layer)
Cover it with 3 (hard, uncooked) lasagne sheets.
Put part 2 of the sauce on top of the lasagne sheets.top of the lasagne sheets.
Cover this with half of the grated cheese.
Cover this again with 3 lasagne sheets
Put part 3 of the sauce on top of the lasagne sheets.
Cover this with the last 3 lasagne sheets.
Put part 4 of the sauce on top of the lasagne sheets.
Finally cover it with the rest of the grated cheese.

Put this in the oven during 35-40 minutes at 200 degrees celcius.
If you let it less than 30 minutes in the oven ,the lasagne sheets won’t be entirely soft.
So make sure that it stays long enough in the oven.

Then the dish is ready to serve.
If you serve it immediately, then the lasagne will still have a bit of wet sauce.
If you serve it the next day, then the water will be withdrawn into the pasta sheets.

Some Easy to make recipes. As the Staff Writer I can not do this alone. We need your help. Wake UP community. . The architecture of this News Letter was designed around the theme of Active Worlds. The need to communicate with the commumity & its citizens, And to share with the community apart of our real lives & share with the community some recipes. As the Staff we're always looking for new recipes. If you have any that you would like to share please do send them to jloawsac@gmail.com I have been asked many times this question. So do I need a crock pot & a Smart Pot? And is it better to use a deep frier or a air frier. Which one is better. "It's really up to the individual. Build Tips

    Movers!

I've been putting together Movers for awhile now, but working at a different angle. Not treating the mover as a vehicle, but as an avatar by itself. Of course they are all unique and while they are not meant to represent any particular person they become 'people' by themselves. Meet MoonMan. Obviously he lives on the moon. ( or at least I think he does) Low gravity means he is about ten feet tall and for some reason he's blue. Making Movers as avatars isn't difficult, all you need is a face. Find one you can change, warp, stretch and do whatever it takes to wrap around a PictGlobe and away you go. Most any graphics program can do this and the image is uploaded ,in my case, to Imgur. After that you can shape the body to any 'person' you like, it doesnt even have to be human. It could be robotic, ethereal, angelic with wings or an insectoid alien. The AW Cav options give a lot of leeway in creating your avatar, but making one as a Mover is more like putting on a costume and becoming a completely different thing.

    Gardening

    Paper White Narcissus

Fall is here. Fall is the ideal time for undertaking many garden projects—things are settling down for a long winter rest, and rejuvenating rains are on their way. Now is the time to hammer out your plans for the entire garden-year, and we’ve got some tried-and-true tips to help you get started. Following these basic fall planting tips will yield major results in not just how your garden looks in autumn, but how well it performs year-round. Spring-Blooming Bulbs; It's time to plant your spring-blooming bulbs. Choose from over 200 individual varieties and mixes including daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, iris, onions, garlic, and more. You can find a wide variety of bulbs and fall plants at your local nursey. And get many tips on planting and caring for your plants .

Bulbs produce yellow-golden, trumpet-shaped flowers bloom atop slender, tall stems in early spring. Narrow, strap-like foliage has a soft, gray-green color. Easy to naturalize over a hillside or wildflower garden.

    Small is smarter
When you have a choice, buy little plants (in 4-inch nursery pots); they’re less expensive (usually under $5), easier to handle, and will catch up to the larger ones with winter rains. Smaller plants are your best bet if your fall planting plan requires multiples to fill out a bed. Gallon-size plants, on the other hand, start around $10 each but can provide instant effects.
We look forward to seeing the beauty of the possible.

Paperwhites are fragrant, winter-blooming bulbs that are grown indoors.<P> Inside each bulb is everything that’s needed to produce a living bouquet of beautiful flowers.</p><P> Simply put the bulbs in a container, add water, and they'll be blooming in just 3 to 4 weeks.</P> If you plant a few bulbs each month you'll be able to enjoy fresh flowers all winter long. Here’s how to get your paperwhite bulbs off to a great start:</P>

    WHEN TO PLANT

Paperwhites are usually grown without soil. Choose a shallow, watertight container and fill the bottom with two or three inches of small stones. Marble chips, polished stones, glass beads or washed gravel all work fine. Planting in groups of five or more bulbs will give you the best show. Place the bulbs closely together (touching each other is fine) with their pointed ends up. The tops of the bulbs should be even with or slightly above the rim of the pot. Add more stones to hold the bulbs in place.
After planting, add water to the container until it barely touches the base of the bulbs. Put the pot in a cool, bright location. Over the next two weeks, water sparingly, adding only enough water to maintain the same level. Once the bulbs start growing, you'll need to replenish the water more often, but keep the level below the base of the bulbs.
If you prefer to grow your paperwhites in soil, use a standard container mix and keep the top of the bulbs above the soil surface. Moisten the container mix before planting and then water sparingly until the bulbs have developed roots and are growing well.
As the plants grow, turn the pot every few days to keep the foliage growing straight. Bright light and relatively cool temperatures (60-65°F) will help the plants grow quickly without getting too tall. If the stems get too tall to support themselves, you can encircle the foliage with ribbon or string.

Like most bulbs that are forced for indoor flowers, paperwhites are usually tossed out after they finish blooming.

In warm climates, where temperatures don't go below 20°F, paperwhite bulbs can be planted outdoors and will bloom in late winter. Paperwhites require a hot, dry summer in order to produce a good show of flowers. For this reason, they are considered perennials only in Southern California and parts of Texas.
    Read the plant tags
Another important fall planting tip is to exercise a little restraint. Take a moment to read the plant tags. Find out how big the plants will grow, and whether they need sun or shade. Then choose plants that will thrive in the spot you have in mind for them. “Full sun,” for example, means you should plant in a spot that gets at least six hours of sun a day.

I love to garden. There is nothing like getting out there and playing in the dirt, just the feel of the dirt around your fingers and then seeing what you have planted come to life before your eyes.
Even if it is a house plant you can still get the thrill of seeing it grow to new heights. And give it the same care that you would if you had a back yard or a roof garden or just a small patio.
It's all about the love of the out doors and the seeing soemthing grow that you have planted.
Transplant shock in plants is almost unavoidable. Let’s face it, plants were not designed to be moved from place to place, and when we humans do this to them, it is bound to cause some problems. But, there are a few things to know about how to avoid transplant shock and cure plant transplant shock after it has occurred. To be continued. You think i am going to give you a tip now for this. NO! I want you to keep reading month after month. If I write about it now you won't be lookiing for the solutions next month. So you will just have to wait until November. If you have a gardening tip please gram cablecar gal or send a email to please contact the virtual_times at <a href="mailto:jloawsac@gmail.comt">jloawsac@gmail.com

    PLANTING TIPS FOR FALL-PLANTED BULBS

Once you have selected your fall-planted bulbs, these step-by-step instructions about when and how to plant will ensure you enjoy picture perfect results.

PLANTING IS AS EASY AS 1, 2, 3
    1. Dig a hole that is 3 to 4 times deeper than the height of the bulb.

    2. Set the bulb in the bottom of the hole, following the recommended spacing.

    3. Replace the soil and completely cover the bulb. Watering is only necessary if the soil is very dry.

    Grow Lettuce

Yes, you can grow lettuce in pots, and this is how.

    * Growing lettuce & Fertilize every 3 weeks.
    * Lettuce prefers soil that is high in organic materials
    * Make sure that the remains moist and well drained
    * Lettuce will tell you when it needs water Just look at it’ll tell you
    * Lettuce can be started in the home and then when it is ready to transplant to planter boxes or pots it can be easily moved.
    * Grow Lettuce in Containers For fresh lettuce right at your doorstep, try growing containers on a sunny porch or deck. Sow seeds directly into large pots, along with early spring greens such as arugula, cilantro, and nasturtium. They'll add more flavor to salad. You can also start transplants indoors in midwinter by sowing five to seven seeds per pot. Back to Top

Continue to climb the stairs and you will find another great Ghost House. Be careful the bats may think your their meal. And count Dracula will greet you at the door. The model maker of this Ghost house was Diane long time citizen of Active Worlds. Her world was Sails.

    Interview with Cleet

Cleet what size is your present world ?

    Cleet BrooksWorld is a p-100

Cleet if you had to describe your world what theme would you say it would be.

Well my world has no theme per say. I was always interested in Pyramids & China & space and I like to build and I like to create. And I like to put things together I like.

To give the readers a little back ground on Cleet and this world .Back in 2014 Cleet came back to AW and the first building that was placed in the world back then was this palace. Located at 18s 28w .Model made by Lo. Our very own Keshi was very impressed by the model. Not so with the path .It was a mess. Thanks to her Cleet 's world took on a entire new look it was still his vision his talent of building and putting the right objects either a Prime Aw object or a custom object. Cleet knew nothing back then about owning a world or a object path. His sole desire was just to create and to build and meet new people.
